Auburn Volkswagen is proud t announce a partnership with Kidco to present school assemblies that address harassment, intimidation and bullying for both students and parents.

The Kidco Productions School Assembly Program transforms local area schools into a constructive and empowered learning environment. With a high energy mix of puppets, theatrical story telling, audience participation, special guest and encouraging messages; their assemblies aim to transform schools by transforming the way children view themselves through a variety of character building, goal-setting and problem solving activities.

Every child, regardless of their race, religion, ancestry, national origin, gender, gender identity, mental or physical disability, physical appearance, clothing, socioeconomic or any other characteristic, deserves to be safe, cared for and appreciated. KidCo. Productions present school assemblies that will address harassment, intimidation and bullying in an informative and entertaining way for students, teachers and parents alike. Different types of bullying will be identified and discussed. Students will learn techniques to help themselves and others when being bullied. They will also learn that working together, communication with an adult, and being an active bystander will create a safer environment.

Even the youngest of students face a diverse number of obstacles at school and home. Kidco Productions knows that children with a healthy disposition will make a helpful contribution to their environment. An important concept for students of all ages is how to build positive character traits that will last them their entire lifetime i.e. kindness, compassion, confidence and self control.

Auburn Volkswagen is partnering with Kidco by providing two 2012 Routan Volkswagen vans for their use. It’s just one more way the dealership proudly supports Auburn and the South King County communities they serve.

2013 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible Revealed in Autoguide.com Spy Photos

This just in from Autoguide.com. The latest generation of the classic Volkswagen Beetle has been well received in its newest form, and will continue to get attention from VW to expand its customer base. Coming next for the new Beetle will be a soft top convertible option, which our photographers recently grabbed some spy photos of.

The Beetle convertible will likely be available with both of the powertrain options offered on standard Beetle, a 2.5L five-cylinder with a six-speed automatic, or a 2.0L TSI turbocharged four-cylinder with a DSG six-speed dual-clutch automatic. The larger 2.5L motor makes 170-hp and 177 lb-ft of torque, while the smaller displacement turbo variant puts out 200-hp and 207 lb-ft of torque.

The Beetle TDI debuted at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show, and we are hopeful that the 2.0L diesel engine will find its way into the convertible, but it doesn’t seem likely.

There’s no denying that the 2012 Volkswagen Routan screams mom-mobile, but this minivan comes with some serious perks, says Cars.com Family contributor BreAnn Ahara. The upscale Routan is loaded with so many storage spaces that BreAnn and her husband lost their house keys and camera in the minivan for more than an hour because neither of them could remember which cubby held their stuff.

Volkswagen puts a twist on it’s Game Day ad

Volkswagen has released an extended version of its Super Bowl ad ahead of the Big Game, and it may not be what you expected. While the automaker’s teaser hinted toward yet another Star Wars-themed spot after the success of last year’s “The Force,” the new commercial focuses instead on a pudgy puppy named Bolt. The advertisement’s tagline is “Back and better than ever,” and Bolt enters into a fitness montage set to some excellent James Brown tunes in order to slim down and chase after the 2012 Volkswagen Beetle.

There isn’t a single Star Wars reference throughout the whole clip, which may leave fans wondering exactly what that whole chorus of dogs barking in tune to the Empire’s theme in the Volkswagen teaser was about. We won’t spoil the twist for you, but we will say the 2012 Super Bowl ad heads toward a wretched hive of scum and villainy pretty quickly. 2013 Volkswagen Beetle TDI to Debut at 2012 Chicago Auto Show

We knew a diesel Bug was coming back to VW’s lineup, and now we know when. According to a recent article in the Chicago Tribune, Volkswagen has confirmed that the 2013 Beetle TDI will debut at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show in early February.

We don’t have any details yet, but we expect it to use a version of the 140-horsepower, 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo-diesel found in the Jetta and Passat. The previous-generation New Beetle lost its diesel engine for model-year 2007.

The Bark Side: 2012 Volkswagen Game Day Commercial Teaser

We have some concerns that Volkswagen’s Superbowl advertising campaign for this year may be going to the dogs.

Volkswagen’s mini Darth Vader commercial for last year’s Super Bowl was such a hit, that the carmaker has decided to continue using the force at this year’s event. This time they have gone to a canine choir that gives a ter-ruff-ic performance of Darth Vader’s Imperial March.

Our favorite part? The AT-AT dog who walks on at the end.
