New Scirocco GTS unveiled by Volkswagen in German event.
Check out these awesome pictures of this new Scirocco GTS! In honor of the 30th anniversary of the Mark II, Volkswagen unveiled a new Scirocco GTS at Auto Mobil International in Leipzig, Germany. Sporting a 2.0-liter turbo engine good for 210 horses, the vehicle carries a throwback sporty racing style, emphasized by racing stripes that extend from the hood to the tailgate. Special features include new front and rear bumpers, flared side skirts, body-color side moldings, red accenting on the wing mirrors and brake calipers, and glossy 18-inch “Thunder” alloy wheels with black trim. The rear diffuser and roof spoiler, meanwhile, are borrowed from the more powerful Scirocco R. The cabin has black leather seats with contrast red trim and stitching, and features the return of the classic golf ball shift knob on the manual gearbox. via: WorldCarFan

We have some concerns that Volkswagen’s Superbowl advertising campaign for this year may be going to the dogs.
Volkswagen’s mini Darth Vader commercial for last year’s Super Bowl was such a hit, that the carmaker has decided to continue using the force at this year’s event. This time they have gone to a canine choir that gives a ter-ruff-ic performance of Darth Vader’s Imperial March.
Our favorite part? The AT-AT dog who walks on at the end.
